Through discussion topics posted to this website, we will be able to break down the four walls of our classrooms and collaborate with other teachers and students around the world. My hope is that this platform will provide additional excitement around reading and expand students' worldview.
A few basic guidelines to ensure this runs smoothly:
To participate in a conversation, submit a comment on the appropriate page. Your comments within discussion boards will post immediately. Your students can also provide video responses via Flipgrid. A link will be provided in the discussion topic post. Please note that your students' reactions to posted videos will show immediately, but new videos will post once approved by me. I'm just monitoring for obvious reasons...making sure responses contribute to the topic and that this remains a safe space for our kids. If you would like your class to join the discussion, please comment below with your grade and where you are connecting from. You're welcome to access the site and join in anytime! No obligation to respond to all. Just use what you need and what works best with your class. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected]. As of October 2nd, we have classes participating in:
Are you planning to participate with us? Let's build up some excitement. Let us know where you're located in the comments below! This growing lists helps generate extra excitement for our classes as they see our connections grow. CLICK HERE to navigate back to the homepage.

My Gifted and Talented 4th graders will begin this week. I understand we are three weeks behind, but their strong verbal and reading skills will help with that. After reading the novel first I do believe that we can learn from the novel so many things and their historical background from last year's social studies units will help.
